Isabelle M. Germano, MD, MBA is Professor of Neurosurgery, Neurology, Oncological Sciences at the Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine, New York, NY and Director of the Comprehensive Brain Tumor Program, Co-Director of the Radiosurgery Program. She is a pioneer in image-guided neurosurgery with clinical practice devoted to multi-disciplinary treatment of brain tumor patients. Her laboratory research supported by extramural funds, including NIH and FDA, focuses on brain tumors translational research with particular emphasis on gene therapy, stem cells, and induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSC). Dr. Germano is the author over 200 peer-reviewed and other publications, including 5 books. She is Chair of the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Tumors Award Committee, Chair of the WFNS Education and Training Committee, and Past-president of the AANS/CNS joint Section on Women in Neurosurgery.
